RLM Traduction has drawn up this Data Protection Policy in order to transparently inform the Users of the Website hosted at the following address: https://www.rlmtraduction.com, (hereafter referred to as the ‘Website’), about the methods used by RLM Traduction to collect and process their personal data.
The term ‘User’ refers to any user, whether they are a natural person or a corporate body, visiting or interacting with the Website in any way.
All the technical, legal and organisational objectives and methods used to process the personal data of the Users are decided by RLM Traduction. For this purpose, RLM Traduction undertakes to take all the necessary measures to guarantee that the personal data are processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 8 December 1992 (hereafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and in accordance with the European Regulation of 27 April 2016 to protect the personal data of natural persons and for the free movement of these data (hereafter referred to as the ‘Regulation’).
RLM Traduction is free to select any natural person or corporate body to process the personal data of the Users at their request and on their behalf (hereafter referred to as the ‘Sub-contractor’). If applicable, RLM Traduction undertakes to select a Sub-contractor who offers the appropriate guarantees in terms of the technical and organisational security measures for the protection of personal data, whilst ensuring full compliance with the Act and with the Regulation.
2. Processing of Personal Data
When Users use the Website, personal data may be communicated. These data shall be processed by RLM Traduction, in their capacity as the Data Protection Officer, or by service providers acting on behalf of RLM Traduction, and this whilst ensuring full compliance with the Act and with the Regulation.

By accessing and using the Website, the User acknowledges to be informed of this consent and gives their free, specific, informed and unequivocal agreement for their personal data to be processed. This consent relates to the content of this Data Protection Policy.
The consent is given by means of a positive action which requires the User to tick the box opening the Data Protection Policy as a hypertext link. This consent is a basic requirement to enable the User to perform certain operations on the Website and to enable the User to enter into a contractual relationship with RLM Traduction. Any contract between RLM Traduction and a User for the goods and services offered on the Website shall be subject to the prior acceptance of the Data Protection Policy by the User.

In accordance with Art. 13 Para. 2 of the Act and Regulation, the Data Protection Officer shall not store the personal data for any period longer than is reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were processed.
This period shall definitely be no more than 3 years.

The Website uses cookies to identify the Website Users. This is intended to improve the Users’ browsing experience and to improve the Website and its content. The aims and methods of the cookies are laid down in this article.

A ‘cookie’ is a small text file that is temporarily or permanently stored on the User’s hard disk during their visit to the Website to speed up any future access. These cookies help the server to recognise the User’s device. Cookies may also be installed by third parties collaborating with RLM Traduction. 8. Limited Liability of the Data Protection Officer
The Website may contain links to other third-party Websites not linked to RLM Traduction. RLM Traduction declines any liability for the content of these Websites and the latter’s compliance with the Act and the Regulation.
Any minor up to the age of 16 requires the express consent of their parents or guardians to divulge any information or personal data on the Website. RLM Traduction strongly recommends parents and guardians of minors to encourage responsible and secure internet use. The Data Protection Officer cannot be held liable for having collected and processed personal information and data of minors of less than 16 years of age without the actual consent of their legal parents, or for any incorrect data entered by minors, such as their age, for example. Personal data shall most definitely not be processed by the Data Protection Officer if the User states that they are less than 16 years of age.
RLM Traduction shall not be liable for any loss or damage, corruption or theft of personal data that could result from the presence of viruses or as a result of cyber-attacks.

The Data Protection Officer shall implement all the necessary organisational and technical measures in order to guarantee an appropriate level of security for the data collection and processing. These security measures shall depend on the cost of implementation in terms of the type, context and purposes of the personal data processing.
The Data Protection Officer shall use encryption technologies that are standard to the IT industry for the transfer or collection of data on the Website.
10. Amendments to the Data Protection Policy
RLM Traduction reserves the right to amend this Data Protection Policy in order to ensure compliance with their respective legal obligations. The User is therefore requested to regularly consult the Data Protection Policy in order to keep up to date with any amendments or changes. Any amendments shall be notified on the Website or sent by e-mail in order to allow objection.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This Data Protection Policy shall solely be governed by Belgian law. Any dispute shall be brought before the courts within the legal conurbation of the registered office of RLM Traduction.
